After a couple of weeks without football due to wet grounds, the Wingham Tigers travelled to Lank Bain Oval at Wauchope to take on the Blues.
First Grade
It was a good start to the Tigers who scored through Kyran Bubb in the first minutes. Fletcher Lewis added the extra points.
Soon after the home team got on the scoreboard with a try in the corner to trail 6-4. Midway through the first stanza, a bomb was diffused in the in-goal area, which was followed by a quick tap, with the Wauchope fullback sprinting 80 metres to score at the other end to lead 8-6. Ten minutes before the break, a chip and chase led to another Blues try who extended their advantage to 14-6.
Minutes later, another short kick gave the hone team another converted try to go to half time leading 20-6. With the Tigers on the attack after the break, a 90 metre intercept extended Wauchope's lead to 26-6. Five minutes later, Nash Atkins dived over to make the score 26-10. A quarter of an hour into the second half, the Tigers were reduced ti 12 players when Kyran Bubb was sent off on a touch judge's report for an alleged head butt. In the final ten minutes, Wauchope scored two more tries, both from kicks, to run out winners 38-10.

Reserve Grade
The Reserve Grade game saw Wauchope score twice in the last seven minutes of the first half to lead 12-0 at the break. Another 4 second half tries made the final score 32-0. The Under 18s went down 6-0 early in the game before a try by Jonathan Aiken, converted by Kyle Marron levelled the scores just before the break. The Blues scored twice in the first ten minutes of the second stanza to lead 18-6. Midway through the stanza, Brayden Livermore scored in the corner.
Will Hansen barged his way over the line from dummy half seven minutes from full time to reduce the deficit to 18-4. A late try by Mason Lewis, converted by Kyle Marron was enough for Wingham to scrape home 20-18.

League Tag
The Wingham Tigers League Tag had a tight win over the competition leaders.
A try to Jonty Hemmingway, converted by Chloe Buddle put Wingham ahead 6-4 after an early Wauchope try. Aliesha Bell scored in the corner just before half time to extend the lead to 10-4. A Blues try early in the second half reduced the deficit to 10-8. Soon after, Freya Raglus scored in the corner making the score 14-8.
A try to Wauchope in the corner just before full time was unconverted, giving the Tigers a close win by 14-12
