The away game at the Old Bar Reserve against the Pirates usually turns out to be a tough encounter. Saturday's game was no exception. The Old Bar Beach Pirates went into the game undefeated, while the Tigers had lost their previous two games.
First Grade
A try to the home team in the corner after a quarter of an hour made the score 4-0. Five minutes later, Jake Mullen ran into a space for a try. Fletcher Lewis added the extra points. The home team scored again to take a 10-6 advantage.
Matt Bridge then scored in the corner as the Tigers ran the ball on the last play. Fletcher Lewis's sideline conversion put Wingham ahead 12-10. Another try to Old Bar before the break made the half time score 16-12. The whole game had been played in rain, and a grubber kick into the in-goal area was pounced on by a Pirates player to extend the lead to 22-12.
Both teams defended strongly until the end in tough conditions, with no further points scored.

Reserve Grade
The Reserve Grade game was not decided until the final minutes.
An early try to Old Bar Beach made the score 6-0.
Andrew Gilbert then scored from dummy half midway through the stanza for a 6-4 score. The home team added another try before Peter Oldham scored under the posts. Tajh Colquhoun added the conversion. Just on half time, Hayden Kriss scored in the corner to put Wingham ahead 14-12. The Pirates scored early in the second half to retake the lead by 16-14. Inside the final ten minutes, with the Tigers attacking, a 95 metre intercept saw the Pirates go ahead 20-14, and hold on until the final siren.

Under 18s
The Under 18s trailed 12-4 at the break after an early try to Kaleb Kucinskis.
The Pirates raced to a 24-4 lead midway through the second half with two more tries. Inside the final five minutes, Zac Schafer scored and Kyle Marron added the extra points. A field goal to the home team in the final seconds sealed victory for Old Bar Beach by 25-10.

League Tag
The Wingham Tigers League Tag were victorious over the Pirates by 18-8.
Taleah Dark's try was followed by one to Aliesha Bell, which was convered by Chloe Buddle. Old Bar scored just before the break to trail 10-4.
An early second half try to the home team reduced the deficit to just two points.
A try to Anika Green from dummy half, followed by a second try to Aliesha Bell was enough for the Tigers to take the points.
